Sunny & Fine’s popped up in LA with burritos and a message: it’s time to break up with your boring breakfast.
When planning a pop-up for Sunny & Fine’s, one thing was clear, if we were going to start a breakfast revolution, we had to find the biggest offenders: office workers. Those living the ultimate grind. Rushed mornings. Cold coffee. That same, sad granola bar to start each day, five days a week. And we knew exactly where to find them. Which is why we showed up in Downtown LA, ready and willing to stage a long-awaited intervention. Disrupting those very office workers’ morning routines by handing out warm Sunny & Fine's burritos, inviting them to discover what’s possible when breakfast gets an upgrade. Our pop-up sent a clear message to office workers everywhere: you deserve better.
More than just a breakfast handout, it was proof that the best virtual brands can reach customers beyond delivery apps.

The Brand Behind the Burrito
Sunny & Fine’s has been a tried-and-true go-to for breakfast delivery since 2019. Over these last six years, our breakfast burritos have become a nationwide favorite. To spread the word, we’ve teamed up with passionate restaurant owners across the country, bringing our burritos to life in their kitchens and serving more breakfast lovers, no matter where they are.
We believe starting your day right makes all the difference, and breakfast is always better when someone else makes it. But, life is busy, and sometimes it’s just easier to grab whatever’s available and go. We get it. That’s why Sunny & Fine’s is here with a simple, reliable, high-quality option that arrives at your desk from our kitchen with just one tap.

The Power of Partnership
DK's Donuts has been a community staple for decades, serving donuts from their brick-and-mortar since 1981. In 2020, they started running Sunny & Fine’s out of their kitchen, offering high-quality breakfast delivery alongside their baked goods. DK's Donuts represent everything we love about our partner network: owners who care about quality, consistency, and the customers they serve.
So when we asked them to be part of day three of our pop-up, they didn’t hesitate. The DK's Donuts team helped prep and assemble burritos for over 100 office workers, helping them break up with their boring breakfast. Stuffed with fluffy eggs, gooey cheese, and crispy bacon, each burrito was rolled, wrapped, and sealed with a bright Sunny & Fine’s sticker, ready to turn a routine morning into something worth looking forward to.

The Pop-Up Experience
Once the burritos were packed, we suited up, literally. Decked out in bright yellow “Flavor Department” jumpsuits, we made our rounds to office buildings like Goop and WeWork, surprising teams with a much-needed morning upgrade. No desk was safe from a better breakfast.

Breaking the Routine
Those expecting to walk into just another Wednesday were surprised by stacks of fresh breakfast burritos waiting in the lobby. Visitors left with mini hot sauce bottles, yellow yo-yos, coffee mugs, and slinkies – a friendly reminder that mornings don't have to be so routine.
We showed up where breakfast is an afterthought and offered something better. People discovered their new, can’t-live-without-it burrito, pocketed hot sauce for their desk drawer, and took photos with our “Tastes so good we got reported to HR. Twice.” mugs. Before heading back upstairs, we gave each satisfied diner a QR code, making it easy to order tomorrow’s breakfast from their local Sunny & Fine’s.

The Bigger Picture
This three day activation reflects our passion for the virtual brands we build, and the restaurant partners who bring them to life. By collaborating with local operators like DK Donuts, Abby’s California Kitchen, and Jinky’s Cafe, we can reach and connect with the communities we serve. These partnerships assist in expanding Sunny & Fine’s footprint, but the true reward lies in creating memorable moments that make the brand memorable and rooted in everyday routines.
In a world where most food ordering happens through apps and delivery arrives in anonymous bags, the Sunny & Fine's pop-up created face-to-face interactions that reminded people there are real kitchens, real partners, and real care behind their breakfast choices.
